Mentoring programs have established themselves as a reliable instrument for human resources development and the promotion of young researchers within the current university landscape.
They are implemented in a targeted manner, particularly to attract and keep female junior researchers at the various scientific levels.
Through the transfer of know-how, the acquisition of transferable skills, and networking within the scientific community, mentoring programs make a significant contribution to the qualification and strengthening of junior researchers.
There are now currently seven mentoring programs, that are adequately tailored to the various demands and needs of the respective subject area and level of qualification.
All of the TANDEM programs are based on the modules mentoring, training, and networking, and are embedded in a framework program. Program participants strengthen their skills in self-marketing and self confidence, increase their motivation and determination, solidify their professional prospects and career steps, and learn about important contacts and networks.
