Start of funding:

The Rotation Program frees up researchers working in the clinic from their clinical duties and gives them the opportunity to learn new methods and techniques at a research institution in Germany or abroad (this can also be an institution of the Medical Faculty or RWTH). Positions are granted for a defined research topic that is to be worked on under the supervision of a qualified researcher at the host institution.

The funding instrument requires a position of at least half the job scope, a completed doctorate, a project idea, as well as one original paper as first author in a top-25-percent-journal, and one as co-author. Applicants may already have completed specialist training, but are not eligible if they have already acquired their habilitation (post-doctoral lecturing qualification). Further details on the requirements can be found in the statutes. Please compile your application documents using the list in the statutes and add the RotationFact Sheet.

The full leave of absence is granted for 6 to 24 months.

The Research Commission will invite particularly suitable candidates to a selection interview.
