Short-Term Scholarship
With the short-term scholarship, the Faculty of Medicine is providing physicians with the freedom to conduct research quickly and without much bureaucracy.
For example, new methods can be learned in a period of three to six months. However, the scholarship can also open up the opportunity to complete publications or formulate third-party funding applications based on outstanding research results.
Application Deadline
Application deadlines:
June 1, 2023
September 1, 2023
December 1, 2023
March 1, 2024
Funding starts 3 months after the application deadline at the latest.
The short-term scholarship is a 3-6 month leave of total absence which can be used individually. Smaller research projects or learning new methods in an already existing research project are possible, as well as the preparation of publications (upon presentation of all necessary data) or the writing of a third-party funding application in cases of outstanding preliminary work. It is not possible to have leave only to prepare an application for animal testing.
The funding instrument requires a position of at least half the job scope, a completed doctorate, and a clear agreement on objectives. Further details on the requirements can be found in the statutes and the application documents, which will also be available in the download area soon.
Candidates are selected by the Dean's Office. Only one sponsorship is available per clinic each year.
The application deadlines are March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1 each year.
Funding will start no later than 3 months after the application deadline.
