In medicine, research success is best measured in the amount of external funding and the number of publications. The faculty has had considerable success in both areas in the past ten years:
- The number of publications, which are listed in the important databases Web of Science and PubMed, increased from 1388 in 2010 to more than 1825 in 2020.
- The development of external funding is likewise gratifying, growing from 33.14 million euros in 2010 to 52.71 million euros in 20120.
