Health records
... and mandatory examination upon arrival
Students, who have been accepted to study a semester or a year at our Faculty of Medicine or to complete a clinical rotation at our University Hospital, must fulfill a series of requirements. Please read the following information very carefully.
Students will be physically examined in Aachen before they start with their proposed academic or clinical program by our occupational doctor (Hochschularzt der RWTH). Only if the results are satisfactory the student will be able to start with their proposed academic program. After this examination, you will receive a letter from our occupational doctor, stating you fulfill our requirements and are able to start your training. Please bring this letter prior to the start of your program to our Student exchange coordinator, Eliana Lemos.
Accepted students have to make sure they have all needed vaccinations prior to arrival in Aachen! Otherwise they might have to wait (according to the vaccination schedule) and postpone the start of the clinical rotation/study program.
Students will need their student registration number (if enrolled at the RWTH Aachen University) or a certificate for the examination (by short term staying period, the Student exchange coordinator or clinic will provide a certificate enabling you to attend the examination). Please download the document “Fact sheet occupational doctor RWTH” and read it carefully!
